How to Add a Synonym for a Slot
When you are mapping with Architect, you can add synonyms to a slot. Adding synonyms is an easy and flexible way to add additional wording that helps you understand the context of your slot. To add a synonym, identify which slot type you want to add a synonym for and enter the word or phrase in the field next to that value.
The slot type will then be added to the list of available slot types for you to choose from. This allows you to create a customized slot that has the right wording to describe the content in the map.
How to Use a Slot Function
A slot function is called whenever a signal is transmitted or received. Slot functions can be used in component programming because they allow you to use signal information to communicate between objects without having to use static functions.
